My daughter found the saying framed in a store during a pivotal moment in my life: Erma’s Law. Erma Bombeck, a long-time writer once said: “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I have not a single bit of talent left and could say, I used everything you gave me.”
Time, talent, and treasure. These are the three key resources of any person. Time you don’t get back. Talents are to be invested, but it’s to be invested wisely. You can always make more treasure (money), but it will cost you more time and more talent. So… what do we do? How are we to use these precious resources that are so scarce?
Life is short. There are lots of choices to be made. Instead of trying to arrive before God with lots left in the tank, what if we arrived before God at the end of our lives with the legacy that we have nothing left?
Join us at St. Luke Church for our next series: Erma’s Law, and learn how to live into the legacy God wants you to live into throughout all of your life.
