Sermon Series: Hebrews: Rediscovering Jesus

Rev. Dr. Brian Ebel

Scripture: Hebrews 3:1-18

Big Idea: We get decision fatigue from trying to please everyone + everything else. The faith of a Son calls us to hold our confidence firm to the end.

Key Points:

1. We live life in the cereal aisle – the decision fatigue from it, hardens our hearts toward faith in Jesus.

2. Do you have the faith of a servant, or the faith of a SON?

But Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.

3. “The struggle is real: we have decision fatigue like on the cereal aisle in our lives, and when it happens our hearts become hardened to God. That’s why we have the faith of servants, not of sons and daughters of God.”
