Leaving a Legacy – Erma’s Law

Sermon Title: Leaving a Legacy – Erma’s Law: Arriving Home with Nothing Left
Teacher: Rev. Dr. Brian Ebel
Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16
Big Idea:
In the end, we all arrive before God. The question is how will we arrive? What will we do with the short gift of life, using our time, treasure, and talents? The landowner changed the lives of many. How will we go and do the same?
Key Points
1.) Abundance, not scarcity, defines God’s grace — whether you come early or late, the gift is the same: full, undeserved, and generous.
2.) God doesn’t operate by merit or contracts, but by covenant — we don’t earn grace; we receive it and are called to respond with our lives.
3.) Our mission is to go out and use our time, treasure, and talent to bring others with us — not to store up accolades, but to leave a legacy of love rooted in God’s generosity.
