Lent (2)

March 24 - 31, 2024

Jesus’ disciples buried their hopes along with His body. Their dreams died with their leader. The end, right? Not quite. The story of Easter is the good news that “it’s not over.” There is hope. St. Luke Church invites you to discover that hope this Easter. Bring your family to hear the story of life over death. Hope over despair. Join us for one of our many Holy Week and Easter Week events. Come share in the story of death and life, find out what it means for you, today.

Memorial and Honorariums for Easter Decorations and Worship

We are decorating our Sanctuary and enhancing our worship in many ways for Easter and Holy Week! We would love to honor and remember your loved ones.  If you would like to submit a name in honor or memory of someone, these names will be published in the pre-service slides on Easter Sunday. Donations to the Altar Guild fund are not necessary but are accepted. Please fill out this form before Wednesday, March 27.

Maundy Thursday Service

Thursday, March 28, 6:30 p.m. in the Gym

Our Maundy Thursday service will be a hands-on, multisensory contemporary worship experience in the gym. On this night, we commemorate the supper Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion, when Jesus washed the disciples' feet and instituted the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.

Maundy Thursday livestream reflection 2024

If you can't make it to our in-person Maundy Thursday Service, we will be hosting a live, intimate, and personal livestream on Facebook and YouTube that will lead you through a meaningful reflection on Maundy Thursday hosted by our chaplain, Frances Cadle.

Good Friday Service

Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary

Join us on Good Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary for a service of Tenebrae where we will remember the crucifixion of our Savior. Service of Tenebrae, or Darkness, is based on a twelfth-century late night/early morning service and is an extended meditation on the passion of Christ. The worship space will be stripped of all decorations and symbols and the worship space gets darker and darker.. The church then remains bare until the Easter Sunday, when the process is reversed and the celebration begins.
