Habitat for Humanity

We partner with Habitat for Humanity Lexington to periodically provide hands on construction work (no experience necessary) on local builds. There are also Habitat ReStore's where proceeds support the mission of Lexington Habitat. We rely on volunteers to help with a variety of tasks such as sorting, organizing and pricing merchandise.

Lexington Rescue Mission

Serve a meal once a week at noon, help job seekers with employments opportunities, deliver furniture to recently housed persons, build friendships, be a mentor, and visit jails and detention centers.

Cleaning Buckets

We keep a consistent supply of Cleaning Buckets to send (through UMCOR) to areas affected by natural disasters like flooding and tornadoes. We often have a need for donations and opportunities to assemble buckets.

In the fall we begin collecting donations of gifts and hygiene supplies to put together as Christmas gifts (in shoeboxes!) for our international partners through United Methodist Committee on Relief. We will also put together a packing party where we assemble these boxes before we send them on their way.
