Sunday Mornings, 9:30-10:30am
Join this 15-week study, led by author, Dr. Ken Collins, on his book Jesus the Stranger: The Man from Galilee and the Light of the World.
This study will run each Sunday morning beginning Sept. 10 through Dec. 17 from 9:30-10:30am in the Fellowship Hall.
Ken wrote the book Jesus the Stranger in order to meet the pressing need for very practical resources to help pastors and laypeople with living out the Christian faith in an increasingly complex and hostile culture. This carefully written and engaging book is a narrative journey that explores the suffering of Christ more deeply and clearly in terms of both alienation and rejection. This underdeveloped witness and theme will invariably provide both strength and comfort to Christians who are well acquainted with precisely this kind of pain in an increasingly challenging, even hostile, cultural environment. As one reader on the website Goodreads put it: “I do not believe there are proper words in the English language to describe what an incredible gift this book is for followers of Christ Jesus.”
