St. Luke’s Handyman Ministry

Sometimes the little jobs can make a big difference.

Friends of Joseph is a new St. Luke ministry that provides practical help with small home repairs and maintenance for those who may be unable to safely complete the work themselves or afford professional help.

Named for Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus and a carpenter by trade, this ministry brings together volunteers willing to use their skills, tools, and time to care for others through practical acts of service.

Projects may include things like replacing a ceiling fan, repairing a leaking toilet, installing a handrail, fixing doors or cabinets, replacing smoke detector batteries, installing curtain rods, or making other small safety and accessibility repairs.

Friends of Joseph is especially intended to serve older adults, widows and widowers, people with disabilities or limited mobility, and individuals or families facing financial hardship.
