Big Idea

God’s will for your life begins with repentance—a turning away from the pursuit of “more” and toward the abundant grace and peace found in Him.

Key Points

  1. The Illusion of “More” Our culture tells us that fulfillment is found in having more—more success, more stuff, more experiences—but this pursuit can lead us away from what really matters: eternal relationships and God’s purpose.
  2. The Reality of Sin and Death Ephesians reminds us that without God, we’re spiritually dead—caught in trespasses, driven by desires, and following the course of the world instead of the will of God.
  3. The Hope of “But God” Despite our brokenness, God’s mercy and great love give us life. Through repentance, we surrender our version of “more” and receive His abundant grace and peace.

Reflection & Application Questions

  • In what areas of your life are you chasing “more”?
  • How is that pursuit affecting your relationships with God and others?
  • What would it look like to surrender those things to God and walk in His will instead?
  • How does the phrase “But God” give you hope in your current situation?
