Big Idea

We are not here by accident—God has placed us in this cultural moment for a purpose. The call of every Christian is to live faithfully, courageously, and intentionally in our everyday spaces, reflecting Christ by preserving good, filling what’s missing, resisting evil, and restoring what’s broken.

Key Points

  1. You Were Made for This Time Like Frodo in The Lord of the Rings, we may wish we lived in different days, but we’ve been given this moment. God has appointed the time and place we live (Acts 17) and calls us to faithfulness here and now.
  2. Calling Isn’t Complicated—It’s Daily Faithfulness Instead of grand gestures or dramatic roles, calling is found in how we live every day. It’s being faithful with what’s in front of us—relationships, workplaces, choices, and opportunities.
  3. 4 Questions to Help Discern Your Calling:
    • What is good that I can preserve, protect, or advance?
    • What is missing that I can add or contribute to?
    • What is evil that I can resist or help stop?
    • What is broken that I can restore or renew?
  4. The Church Is the Hope of the World No political party, economic system, or cultural trend will bring salvation—only Jesus. And God has chosen the Church as the instrument to carry the message of hope and reconciliation into a broken world.

Application Questions

  1. What is one “good thing” in your life or community you can protect or promote this week?
  2. Where do you see something missing that you could help create, support, or show up for?
  3. What small act could you take to resist or stand against something harmful in your sphere of influence?
  4. Is there a broken relationship, system, or situation where you can be part of restoration?
  5. How might God be calling you to a deeper, more faithful presence in this cultural moment?
